Funky (2026) Movie Plot:
Komal (Vishwak Sen) gets his first opportunity to direct a film under a producer (Naresh). However, when the film’s budget goes out of control, the producer falls sick due to stress. The producer’s daughter, Chitra (Kayadu), steps in and is determined to make Komal complete the film within a tight budget.

Funky is a light-hearted romantic comedy packed with Anudeep KV’s trademark one-liners. Vishwak Sen takes on a lighter role after a long gap, and Kayadu makes her Telugu debut with this film.
Performances :
Vishwak Sen shines in this lighter and fun role. He deserves appreciation for stepping out of his regular commercial template.

The first half is okay with a few effective one-liners, but it keeps us waiting for the actual story to begin.
The second half also contains some one-liners, and the director attempts to add an emotional touch towards the climax. However, it doesn’t have much impact because there is no strong story backing it. The entire film feels like a collection of random scenes filled with one-liners.
The makers hinted multiple times during promotional events that the film should be enjoyed purely as comedy, without expecting logic or a strong story. However, even the comedy doesn’t work effectively. Anudeep needs to focus more on story rather than just one-liners. If he balances humor with a proper screenplay, he may sustain his career strongly in the future; otherwise, it might become difficult for him to get more opportunities.
