Madharaasi Movie Review :
Madharaasi is a dark psychological action drama filled with raw action, emotions and social message. Sivakarthikeyan reinvents himself in a never-seen-before role — intense, raw and emotional. The first half works well with strong buildup, emotional connect and stylish action.
But the second half slows down with predictable screenplay and dragged runtime. There are many loopholes and illogical scenes throughout the movie. Rukmini shines in her portions, but her screentime is limited. Vidyut Jammwal is menacing, and Biju Menon adds weight.
Sudeep Elamon’s visuals adds that dark tone, Prasad’s editing is sharp in the first hour but could have been better. Anirudh’s BGM lifts some moments, though songs are okayish.
Positives :
☑️ Career best performance by Sivakarthikeyan
☑️ Solid first half with emotional depth
☑️ Stylish visuals & Gritty action sequences
☑️ vidyut Jammwal strong performance as antagonist
Negatives :
❌ Predictable second half
❌ Slow narration and weak storytelling
❌ Lengthy runtime
❌ Poor background score and songs are average
Final Verdict :
Madharaasi Viewer's Rating : 3/5
